James, you are interested in learning more about teaching methods. You need to reflect on them yourself. Please consider how learning happens and reflect a little on your expectations of your future students, and of your own expectations as a learner. Consider the purpose of education, and how this can be achieved. Now, let's think about this course in relation to practice. How does course content relate to the BC curriculum? what are some ideas for possible student projects that could be developed? How could you integrate them into the content/ big ideas/ and competencies? What are some inquiry questions you could use to frame such a unit? Do you know any resources or readings that could relate? Maybe find one or two. Do you have other similar learning or teaching experiences that you can draw on? How does it relate to what you are learning in other classes this semester? What do you think is missing from this and other courses so far? Do you have ideas that could improve the content? How does it relate to your epistemology and ontology? what is your teaching philosophy? These are all questions that would be great to see answers to in relation to the socials methods course.
