Biomechanics
Biomechanics is essentially the study of the physics behind bodily movement. This is done using both quantitative and qualitative analysis. There are a number of different tools used such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, computer software, force-plates and so on which can all be used in a variety of different ways to obtain various measurements and information. One of the most important tools in biomechanics are free body diagrams. These are used to measure forces, angles and movement vectors in order to further understand the key components of human bodily motion.
