Reflection
Shelby and I were faced with a challenge with this class. Many students were emotional and had difficulties playing tag games. We put our minds together to figure out a solutions or how to modify our lesson on the go. We had to be more stern with our directions and adjust our boundaries in the gym.
I found myself stressed under the pressure of children yelling, crying and screaming. But I was able to hold my ground and teach a beneficial lesson. I think the students who did listen and cooperate really got what I wanted from the lesson and were able to learn some new skills.
I learned how to transition my students and get their attention by using gestures and voice. I became more comfortable standing in front of a class and raising my voice in a large setting such as a gymnasium.
