Hello!

Great work building out your Folioz. I appreciate that right when your page loads I get a snapshot of who you are, then I can start looking around on your page further.

Just want to double check about BC standards. I saw note of them but I just want to make sure they are evident. It will be helpful to have really thought out these ideas of what experiences reflect what standards for your exit Interviews Dec.1.

I really like your badges page! Great work.

Let me know when to check back in on those artifacts/standards!

Megan your Folioz page gives me hope! I love the layout - it is clear and organized, easily navigated and shows who you are as a person and an educator. The Education Inspiration page is excellent, I would like to do something similar. The social studies class reflections are well thought out, I enjoyed reading them and I'm glad you added different media - photos and videos. You've connected them to the teaching standards and provided information about how you could bring them into your own classroom - I can tell that you're passionate about teaching socials. The two public lecture series you went to seems really interesting, I wish I could have seen the Zero Waste presentation, however you did a very good job of explaining it and connecting it to what we're learning in class. The only thing I would suggest doing is making your artifacts more obviously known as artifacts, only because anything can be one. Or... Maybe they're all artifacts and you're just extremely on top of things..

Your entire Folioz page makes me want to change my attitude about Folioz - You've inspired me. (I may need some assistance to get mine up to snuff.)

Megan, my feedback is formative so I am here to check back in again for Checkpoint 2.

All of the events you attended in your Social Studies Collection are pertinent to the formation of your identity. It shows your interests such as community events, fair trade, and environmentalism. Those meaningful things will be brought through in your teaching. You have linked most of your artifacts to the BC standards of teaching. I think you are able to make more of the events you attended on your page ‘artifacts’ by linking them to the BC standards of teaching (eg Ride for Refuge). You have made the effort to create the page, so you might as well make it count as an artifact on your portfolio. I love your visuals and the layout of your page. You could add tags to your posts to increase your digital tattoo. I specifically like your artifacts of Urban Streetscapes, Elizabeth May, and Zero Waste presentation. The only thing I could offer improvement on is adding the word “Artifact” to your collection for clarity. Your Badge collection is coming along as well. They are sorted well and I love the personalized touch of you in your Girl Guides outfit. So adorable!

Wow Megan, you've worked really hard on your pages and it shows. The quality of your photos and videos is great. I like your About Me sections as well as all of your portfolios! I aspire for my Folioz page to have as much content as yours.

I love your video! I think I recognize some spots in Strathcona park-is that possible? Your mentors give great advice about teaching it would be great to see how you interpret the role of the teacher and the purpose of education in this context. I appreciate the focus on helping the students to find their passions and to be curious! I am also curious about you define leadership? How does it relate to teaching and learning?
