Something to consider...
Lesson planning is a mindful process that involves the integration of several components that encourage an environment of learning and growth.
Adaptations
All lessons shared on this page are versatile and can be easily adapted to desired grade level and subject area. They were created with the intention of demonstrating a smooth integration of technology in the classroom.

Educators contribute to the profession.
Educators support, mentor or encourage other educators and those preparing to enter the profession. Educators contribute their expertise to activities offered by their schools, districts, professional organizations, post-secondary institutions or contribute in other ways.
- Creating this lesson was a collaborative process where we were able to share our strengths and put together something wholesome that simultaneously reflected our individuality. This lesson was created to be readily available for any who wish to use it, or adapt it to their taste and/or subject area. The idea was to integrate a technology into the classroom in a cohesive manner, and this lesson demonstrates just one of many ways it can be done.
Looking back...
From this experience, I learned the value of collaboration amongst peers/colleagues. Unfortunately I didn't seen any teachers co-teach during my observations this term, and I think that it is great way for teachers to:
- Model collaboration and cooperation
- Model connection-making between subject areas for students
- Receive support and new ideas from other teachers
This opportunity encouraged us to bring forth our best ideas and create something that never would have been without the minds of three different individuals.
Looking ahead...
After having worked through the process of collaboratively creating and teaching a lesson, I can confidently say that it will definitely be something I do again in the future.
In my opinion, by simply making the choice to collaborate and work with others says that you see value in what another person has to offer. I think it also shows an openness to learn from others and reflects a growth mindset that is always looking to try new things an avoids static ways of thinking.
A term I became familiarized with this past term is coined by Piaget, and that is disequilibrium. This means to experience a loss of stability, which I see as positive thing that results in personal growth and an expanded perspective. There have been times where I have felt this way, particularly when interacting with teachers and students at Stelly's during my observations, but those experiences ultimately pushed me to grow the most!
Teaching French as an Additional Language:
The French lessons on this page share different activities to strengthen language learning in the classroom. All four aspects of language learning (listening, speaking, reading and writing) should be included in each lesson to achieve optimal language acquisition success. These activities were created separately to demonstrate their versatility across grade levels and thematic units.

<-- Suspense Writing
The pdf of our Google Slides I have included was part of a larger lesson plan on suspense writing. This lesson was created collaboratively with two other classmates. Together, we co-taught a 20 minute lesson that incorporated the use of Twitter as the platform for the students to share their 140 character horror stories.
