Athletic Background

  • Gymnastics was my first introduction to organized physical activity. I believe that the fundamentals learned through gymnastics are a fantastic way to introduce kids to organized physical activity and give them the skills to position themselves for future success.
  • High School - In high school I played soccer, basketball and rugby. Rugby became my main passion and I have continued to play club and rep rugby ever since.
  • I have been fortunate to represent Edmonton U19, Alberta U19, Vancouver Island Men, and was a reserve for Canada U19 for the Junior World Cup.
  • I currently play rugby for James Bay Athletic association and have had a great deal of success winning a number of BC titles over the years.
  • As my competitive rugby career winds down I have have become more interested in outdoor activities, hiking, surfing, running etc. I enjoy yoga, cross training, and play organized 7 a side soccer throughout the summers.
  • I feel that physical activity and games provide valuable lessons and opportunities for student growth and can help to create a sense of community as well as promote health in our schools.
