Understanding ePortfolio from Students Perspectives
Understanding ePortfolio from Students Perspectives
This prezi highlights the purpose of the ePortfolio in relation to the BC Ministry of Education teacher competencies. The Prezi offers insights from students who were interviewed after completing their first term in the 16 month post-degree program. The students discuss their shifting impressions about doing the ePortfolio, the processes they went through and the realization of how it helped them form strong and confident teacher identities in relation to their integrated teacher education experiences in a local high school.
Research Presentation on ePortfolio
Research Presentation on ePortfolio
This video recording is from a presentation made at the Canadian Society for the Study of Education (CSSE) in May 2014 at Brock University. The research team reports on the findings on a year long study of ePortfolio implementation in multiple courses in education across both Secondary and Elementary programs. A key insight is offered into the concept of learning personified that highlights the integration of past experiences, course tasks and field experience. This personifying of students’ learning emerges as they organize, reflect on and reflectively build a professional identity sharing eP collections with peers, instructors and practitioners. A case study of one course transformation in using the ePortfolio process is highlighted. Summary of session is attached.
