Initial Pickle Ball Survey

Initial Survey

The point of the initial survey is to collect information from the students so the teacher can create different teams that are fair. These questions will involve asking the students to rate their ability in pickle ball. On one end of the spectrum it will state, “Not very good and never play” and the other end will state “Very good, and play often”.

Teacher skill Diagnostic Assessment

Mid and End of the Unit Survey

Mid and End Survey

This survey will be used twice in the unit. The mid survey will ask what role each student has for their respective team, and also will indicate what students wants to learn or improve on during the unit. The end survey will center around students self assessing their progress throughout the unit. These self-assessments are a great way to develop personal and social responsibility for the students.

Teacher Skill Assessment of Students

The purpose of this “teacher skill diagnostic” assessment chart is to provide the teacher with a useful teaching tool. It will assess each student’s skill ability throughout the unit. Each class the teacher will determine four or five different students before class to assess. The teacher will monitor those specific students and assess different skills such as: forehand strokes, backhand strokes, serving, and on/off ball movements. The chart also has checklists so the teacher can see each student’s progress and also see what each student has to work on. This chart is mainly for the teacher, and the goal is to monitor each student’s progress as well as student performance.

GPAI Assessment

GPAI Assessment (Tactical Learning)

This assessment focuses on skill execution and related off-the-ball movements. The chart can be used to assess tactical learning for students. This chart assesses if students are returning to base, reading, responding, and reacting to the play, and also records their skill. These five points are all imperative in tactical learning. If student’s are getting back to base in a rally they would receive a check mark, but if they aren’t they would get an X.
