Artifact 7: Class Video
Artifact 7 - Class Video Process
The class video process is a great concept because it offers students to put their creative touches on a class. Students take turns filming and creating their videos, and post them to the google classroom. In our class, these videos were a good summary of what went on during class, and added some prompting questions which we would discuss in the online comments. This showcases the First Peoples Principles of Learning, in which we all can offer expertise and learn from one another. This forum is full of comments and ideas from various perspectives and is a document rich with informative content.

Learning Experiences in EPHE 452 in order to generate evidence of developing competence.

- Connect your understanding of course concepts to the BC redesigned curriculum.
Artifact 8 - Core Competencies
Artifact 8 - Core Competencies in TGfU
I chose this as an artifact because I believe that having strong curricular connections are important. I made this powerpoint to describe some ways of incorporating the core competencies of the BC curriculum into a PE class. What generated this artifact for me was the desire to have a strong grasp on the curriculum and relate it to the classroom, lesson planning, and my teaching. In the process of creating this artifact I learned that the curriculum is not something to be scared of. Many times in previous classes there has been little attempt to relate back to the BC curriculum, and being from Alberta I felt that I was behind in my understanding and comprehension. By creating this artifact I took he time to go through each of the core competencies and fully understand what they are after. I think that this is a valuable tool and skill to have moving forward.

Reflection
Assessment: In this big idea I feel I am developing to proficient. I feel as though I am developing more skills in understanding discipline concepts. I feel as though I have been able to navigate text, videos, oral learning, and observation. All of these have been essential parts of my learning thus far. I feel that my understanding of TGfU is shown in various of my articles, and I am beginning to be more confident in its process and success.
Evidence: The evidence shows that I am being a multimodal learner and participant in this class. Through various assignments and in class activities, I believe that I am developing a strong understanding of the core concepts presented in this class.
Personal growth: What I can do now is continue to apply the knowledge I have gained. It is one thing to understand class concepts, but its when they are applied that learning really happens.
Goal: Something I want to work on is my incorporation of outside research, as I think it will clarify and add to my understanding of course concepts.
