PHE Canada Student Award Recipient 2016
Now that the school year and my fourth year at University of Victoria has come to an end, I wanted to take the opportunity to thank all my family, friends, colleagues and staff members for such an impeccable, rewarding and memorable experience.
I am very honoured and privileged to have the opportunity to accept the award on behalf of the University of Victoria and Physical Education Canada in recognition of exemplary leadership in the field of health, physical education, recreation or dance.
I cannot express how blessed and fortunate I am to live in a place and grow in a space where I feel truly accepted and can continue to express who I am as an individual and as a future educator.
Thank you very much to everyone who has continued to support, lift and inspire me to grow and become the best version of myself. I wanted to share this with all of you as you are the reasons why I am here.
The one message that has stuck with me especially this year is "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone."
Cheers to everyone and enjoy your summers, cannot wait to come back in September for my 5th and final year.
