About me
I am a fifth year student at the University of Victoria. For my first two years of schooling I wasn't sure what I wanted to do so I took a variety of classes to try and figure out what career I wanted to pursue. It was through this exploration along with my commitment to sport, passion for coaching and love of the outdoors that I realized I wanted to teach Physical Education and Social Studies at the secondary level. During my past five years at UVIC I have had many experiences that have allowed me to engage with youth in the community whether it was through summer camps or inviting youth soccer teams to come train and play with us. I have been a member of the UVIC Women's soccer team for four years and have been the Captain for the last year. Soccer has been a huge part of my life by teaching me how to be successful, overcome disappointment, work hard for what I want, and meet great people along the way. It has built the person I am today and is by far the biggest reason that I chose to become an educator!
