  • To create your own Google+ page you first have to have your own google account. (if you have a gmail account you already have a google account).
  • From there look up google plus and create an account.
  • Go to your page and create a collection.

  • Continue this until your page is nice and full and enjoy!

Why was Google+ Created

  • What was the situation that generated the content of this page?

Google was created as a new way to organize websites and information to help users find what they are looking for.  Google + is an internet based social media owned by google.  When using Google Plus you create a profile and are able to search a large varieties of things. On the page I have embedded on this folioz account is themed "Social Media integration in the classroom.

How to make sure a Source is Credible

How to make sure the source is credible:

You always want to make sure that the sources you are using and adding to your Google+ page are credible. To do so you must :

  • Go to the page you wish to keep.
  • Look up the author/creator/website associated with the page.
  • Look into the page - Look at the date, is it a Government site?, Is it from a University?, Is there much information on the author?, look for spelling/grammar mistakes, look for a well made website.
  • If all of these things check out you are good to go!

Personal Response and Reflection after using Google+

I had never even heard of google plus before being tasked to look into it and figure it out and find out how to use it. I was pleasantly surprised with what I foud out! I am not the most tech savy person and after a helpful nudge to help get the ball rolling in the right direction I was able to enjoy using this form of social media. It was easy and and very interesting to look things up and have so many new sources ready at my finger tips. I think that in my future  as a classroom teacher I will definitely consider using this with my students. I think students starting grade three and up will not have any problems.
