What actions did you do in order to use this curation tool and how did you check the credibility of the sources?

In order to use this curation tool I followed the steps to create my own blog and then reblogged blog posts which related to my own. To look up these posts I used the search bar to look up key topics or found them on my dashboard from blogs that I already followed. For the posts that I reblogged I checked the credibility of the sources by looking underneath the post to find the original poster. From there I clicked on their blog and examined it to determine if it was credible.

As a teacher what is your reflection on how you could use this process in your teaching?

As a teacher you can use this platform as a way to research topics as a class and borrow other bloggers ideas from their posts. In addition to this each student can create a blog like our folioz accounts to track their progress in the class. They can add sections of learning such as english, math and social studies and upload each assignment they complete. At the end of the school year they can look back on the blog and see what they learned and information they gathered. Parents can also check up on the students blogs to see how they are doing in class

Step 3: Learn the tools on the dashboard. This is where you create your post. You have a lot of options as to which format you want to use. You can from a text post, photo post, quote post, link post, audio post, or video post.

Step 4: Next you customize your blog. On the right there will be a button that looks like an eye and says "customize" next to it, once you click that you should appear to a screen where you can change your blogs look.

Step 5: Look at your dashboard and reblog posts you like that fit within your page.

What was the situation that generated the content of this page?

When Tumblr CEO David Karp participated in a Founder Stories interview he explained that he started Tumblr four years ago as a reaction to other blogging tools out there. He wanted to create a blogging platform that didn't take the same form as the others. He wanted a free-form platform that was much less verbose as well as easy to use unlike the standard blogging platforms available at that time. So he created a simplified blogging tool which was fit for first-time users as well as experienced users.

In your response to this task what did you learn?

While in the process of researching this platform I learned that Tumblr can an affective tool for learning and tracking the progress of a child. Although Tumblr can be used to find many ideas for learning and used find different thoughts and opinions of others, I also found that Tumblr can sometimes be filled with sources that are not credible depending on the blog since anyone can post anything they please.
