My Beliefs

I kept a 10 week journal with a class at UVIC and pulled these quotes from some of my logs:

“As an educator I have to be conscious of my duties and standards that surround my profession. I think that as a teacher I should be very approachable for students and have them think of me as a positive role model and want to succeed in my class because I make it a fun environment that they can trust and learn in.”

“I believe that as an educator being patient and be able to adapt to certain needs of students is a huge indicator for how successful I will be as a teacher.”

In a school system as an educator it is very difficult to make a change where you see fit without the support and effort of others.

“It is also my duty to teach students the norms of modern society and make them knowledgeable of the place they live in, the different cultures they will experience and help them shape a positive belief of our democratic society. “
