The Global Games:

In the summer of 2012, the first ever Global Games was held in London, England. The competitors included: Canada, U.S.A., U.K., Australia, and France. Team Canada entered in last minute, and was significantly outnumbered. I had the privilege of playing on the team as Keeper. The round robin tournament placed U.S.A. 1st, Canada 2nd, France 3rd, Australia 4th, and the U.K. in 5th. Unfortunately, Team Canada was exhausted and overworked afterwards, leading the final standings to: U.S.A. 1st, France 2nd, Australia 3rd, Canada 4th, and U.K. 5th. It was a tough loss, but the team did their best under the circumstances. The next Global Games will be held in Burnaby, B.C. It is unclear which countries will enter yet, aside from Canada and the U.S.
