My name is Sarah Gauvin and I am a third year pre-service teacher in the University of Victoria Bachelor of Elementary Education program. This collection contains evidence of my personal growth as a music educator. As a child, I was fortunate to have a large range of musical experiences that ranged from formal music lessons in piano and band class to more abstract musical training in rock school and through elementary musicals and performances. As I continue on my journey towards becoming a teacher, I am excited to have more opportunities to continue exploring music and its many aspects. Most of all, I am excited to be reminded of the joy that music brings me and I look forward to finding ways to spread that joy to my students.
