Scenarios to teach the pick and roll through the TGfU model
Final Progression
Defence cannot defend outside the three-point line. Offence may pass and dribble the ball as many times as they like. This then allows offence to be able to “reset” the play. If defence intercepts the ball or “steals” it from offence, then they must take it out past the three point line to become the offensive team.
B1 uses the screen set by B2. B1 can then either pass to B2 if the pass is there for 2 points. Or B1 can drive into the “%” zone for one point while staying within the playing area and using only three dribbles. Red 1 (R1) and Red 2 (R2) act as the defenders who are playing “one on one” defence. They score 2 points if the pass is blocked/ stolen, and 1 point of B1 is unable to get into “%” with three dribbles or leaves playing area.
