About me
Hello and welcome to my Folioz profile! My name is Graeme Hyde-Lay and I am currently enrolled at the University of Victoria studying Physical Education with a secondary in Chemistry.
Coaching Experience
For the past few years now, I have had the opportunity to coach youth rugby at St. Michaels University School as well as basketball at the grade 9-10 level. This experience has made me realize that I want to pursue high level coaching at the high school level. I have played sports at a high level my entire life and am currently a member of the University of Victoria Men's basketball program. I believe that I have the experience and technical knowledge to be a high level coach and I love working with kids who are passionate about sports and teamwork. I have been lucky enough to have had a number of amazing coaches throughout my career and the lessons in teamwork, dedication and commitment have stuck with me in all aspects of my life. To have the opportunity to instill these values in the next generation of students would be a dream come true and makes me highly motivated to be not only the best coach but teacher I can be.

Throughout my entire school career, I have had the privilege to be taught be a number of extraordinary teachers who have all had huge positive impacts on my life. I would find it extremely rewarding, if I were able to have a similar impact on the kids going through the school systems now. Additionally, both of my parents are teachers and house parents at a boarding school so I have lived and been surrounded by the school atmosphere my entire life.
