Folioz

Folioz is a website that we use to create public, professional profiles. Receiving Folioz badges shows that I am capable of navigating through Folioz and understanding the importance of an organized and professional teacher/student profile. Creating an ePortfolio of my journey, teacher goals, passions, and accomplishments is beneficial towards future career opportunities.

YouTube

YouTube is well known for being an exceptional website for video sharing and v-logging to the public. YouTube has become huge for students and teachers in their journeys through their schooling and professional careers. It is a great tool to use to keep in touch with the public and work on our movie making skills. In relation to the education program, we learn how to create educational videos, upload, and manage our channels on YouTube.

Blogging

Blogging helps with our professional learning and highlights key features we learn in our classes. The blogging badges show that I am capable of creating more visually striking blogs. These badges show the accomplishment of being able to embed images, video clips, and different files on a blog to further show our understanding of the teachings.

Google

Google has grown immensely in the past years. Google now includes managing your own account, sending files through Google Drive, and navigating through gmail. Your Gmail, YouTube, and Google Drive are all linked in your Google account which is a great necessity as it makes it easier and more manageable to post/send professional videos and posts.

Social Media/Social Cohesion

Social Media has become a huge tool for teaching in this day's generation. It is continuously growing and proves to be beneficial for students as it can be intriguing to the students. As teachers, it is important to keep students engaged in their work. By incorporating social media in their lessons, education will be placed on a whole new level in the new generation. Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter are only a few examples of social media we can use as teachers. We must be able to explore these options and understand how we can embed this into our teaching.
Social cohesion is important to practice early. We want to make sure that we start creating a bond between our class now because we will have know how to do it when we become educators. Social cohesion requires us going out of our way to better a bond between people. We want to become compassionate teachers who stick together through thick and thin! We want to create a stable support between classmates and teachers.
